Birthday Thanks

Thank you for all the birthday wishes
From family, friends, and acquaintances
But I have to be totally honest
This birthday was not my happiest
Still I am thankful for so many greetings
And to those who shared their blessings
Maybe next year it will be better
Maybe next time we'll celebrate together
You all make my heart full
And made my life more meaningful
I want to say "Thank you!"

When wishes don't come true

You know that feeling when you wish upon a star
And hope for a miracle to happen where you are
But you know it is impossible and prevent it from happening
Because you don't want to hold on to mere daydreaming

You don't know when it happened that you stopped believing
Maybe coz all this time you've only been imagining
Now that reality has slapped you to your senses
That everything was all hopes and pretenses

Why do you dread that day coming your way?
Why do you have to go when you really want to stay?
Why do you want to deal with it on your own?
When you really don't want to be alone.
